The Fluffy Cloud is a fifteen-ton sound-and-light sculpture we raise at Black Rock City as our gift to the city — and Fluffer Camp is the crew that brings it to life. Around 150 of us gather each year, roughly a third from Brazil, a third from Europe, and the rest from the U.S. and around the world. From carpenters, to tech founders, to internationally acclaimed artists and beyond — everyone is equal, and everyone does their part.
As an international camp, we know the logistics are often the hardest part — language barriers, time-zone gaps, or simply being new to the Burn. So we handle the things that are easier to do together: 24/7 power, coordinating and securing an RV if you need one, bikes, food, water, showers — and our epic city placement at 10 & Helau. Roll in with your own setup if you're a veteran, or let us carry it if you're not. Either way, everyone does their part — about six hours of shifts across the week — so your energy goes to the playa and the crew, not the to-do list.
"Whether it's your first burn or your fifteenth, the camp just runs. Because we run it together — led by veteran Burning Man camp leads with nearly 100 years of combined experience building some of the playa's biggest projects: Playa Alchemist, Jaguara, Mayan Warrior, Playground — and the Cloud itself."
